One of the strangest bands to hit Edinburgh in the 1990s, Laughter specialised in entertaining and disorientating audiences in equal measure. Their album “Lock Stock and Rock and Roll” was recorded with total control by the band onto 8-track reel to reel in uncompromising style, and is therefore one of the most faithful representations of any band's live presence. Twenty tracks span an eclectic range through malevolent rock and roll to unsettling ballads via unfathomable tangential instrumentals and dehinged pop slavepieces.
